In a day when parents fret over the values their children are exposed to outside the family, LOGOS provides a weekly four-part opportunity to help parents overcome that worry and actively participate with their children.

In a day when older adults fret over the values young people are exposed to in school and in the local mall, LOGOS provides the same weekly four-part opportunity that allows these adults to mentor young people into a loving relationship with their peers and their parents.
The LOGOS ministry accomplishes these things when the rest of society cannot seem to get a handle on the problem.

What is it LOGOS does different?
The answer is really quite easy! Treat everybody as a Child of God while you follow Acts 2:42 when it says, “They devoted themselves to the Apostles teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.”

With a simple interpretation of this verse, the LOGOS ministry at Calvary will follow it with a Bible Hour [teaching], and Recreation and Play [fellowship], to Family Time [breaking of bread] and Worship Skill [the prayers]
LOGOS is for First Graders through High School and all of their parents plus all of the adults of Calvary Church and School. There is even an abbreviated Pre-LOGOS time for "Pre-K" and "K" aged children.

Remember, LOGOS is for the family; so Parental involvement is crucial to whether a child perceives that his or her parent believes LOGOS is important. If the Parent is involved, the child will be too! Guaranteed!
LOGOS is a mid-week program that begins after school and runs through the dinner time on Wednesday nights. There are two terms in every year. LOGOS does not run during the summer vacation time. Also, while we anticipate the times and schedules will change to meet the needs of the various school calendars, the overall stability of the program should allow for families to plan their participation in advance.
LOGOS will take place all over the Calvary Church and School campus. From the fast-paced activities of Recreation/Play to the huge space needs of a sit-down meal during Family Time and the Classroom needs of the Bible Hour and Worship Skill activities, LOGOS is a space intensive time of intense building use.
