We are pleased that you have navigated your way to our little corner of the World Wide Web.
The Presbyterian Church of Pleasantville has a one hundred and fifty year tradition here in South Jersey and we look forward to at least one hundred more. Families from Egg Harbor Township, Marmora, Beesley's Point, Northfield, Linwood, Absecon, Pleasantville, Mays Landing, Galloway, Smithville and everywhere in between come together to worship here every Sunday.
Here at Pleasantville our first and foremost goal is to bring glory to God. In worship, in work, and at play, we consider it our privilege to be called the children of God. We strive to be transformed by that privilege.
Having experienced the love of God, we think it is important to share that love with the world. We do that through regular worship and Christian nurture and education at which all are invited.
But that's not all there is. We make sandwiches for Sister Jean's Kitchen in Atlantic City, a facility that feeds some 600 people every day of the week. Each month we provide bag lunches for some of Pleasantville's working poor. We participate in the Presbyterian Fair-trade Coffee Project, and support other local and international services organizations through our Alternative Christmas Fair and SERRV sales. We are proud to support students and a teacher through Real Partners Uganda, as well as a female victim of war through Women for Women International. We make service kits for Church World Service and buy animals through the Heifer Project.
We are constantly looking for new ways in which we can serve God's children. We take seriously James' admonition that "True religion, religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to care for orphans and widows in their distress, and to not worry about the things of the world." (James 1:27)
Won't you come and join us? We would love to see our family of faith nurtured by what you have to offer. And by that same token, we'd love the opportunity to nurture and care for you and yours.
Our facilities are fully accessible, and there is plenty of off-street parking.
See you Sunday?
